-The greater is the distance the more we reduce the dynamics (casts) you can do, their technical content and, so, their effectiveness. Therefore there is a space (medium-short distance) within which the system is expressed at highest levels, a technical space where you can run a large and different range of maneuvers, and also another extension (long cast) roughly where the opposite occurs.
The root of the casts
The usual techniques represent a part of the expressions of the dynamics of this system of fishing, the TLT represent the totality.
-It is unrealistic to expect to solve the problems of fishing without an adequate number of specific casts. The TLT has a number able to cope with many different situations. Yet those same maneuvers, without an adequate support of the final, and first without the contribution of a specific technique (TLT) are almost never decisive.
All launches are derived from a limited number of roots:
Each root has a specific dynamic on which depend its speed, the distance within which it can act and, more generally, his results.
-The angled trajectory is the dynamic solution of almost all the problems of fishing, the one that provides the tools to build a wide range of presentations. The angled cast outlines the boundary that separates the maneuvers that concern on rotating lines, Wavy, etc., those who speak for Parallel lines. Divide also the dynamics at the highest technical content from the poorest. Finally, Angled launch is the barrier that separates the paths that you can finalize the needs of fishing from other. -
-The only exception is the Radente, a cast of a high technical level, but whose dynamic lends itself only in small par to be exploited following fishing needs. In addition to the parallel trajectory there's only the Double Traction: the maneuver aimed at long distance. The distance thus determines the technical space within which each root can express and, at the same time, the limit that separates the linear trajectories form the more complex ones. Every trajectory is influenced by several factors, but all from the distance.
The weight, original sin of the fly
There is only one judge who can determine the validity of a maneuver: the water . E il nemico dell’acqua è il peso. The weight of the tail. For this, without the fundamental support of the final, But a final designed and conceived in a certain way (TLT), also throws, any launch, is a blank bullet .
The role of skill
It's a pity
-All the fishermen agree on the importance of skill. Just think of the pose and the presentation of the fly. So the question is this: what role can perform the skill, and what is, if we abandon the artificial to himself in the at the mercy of fate? What is the difference in results can exist between an expert and a novice, so that both project the tail in the same way, line and fly fall down to the surface in very similar ways, are both deposited in water at identical height, then pose the fly in the same way? Both dynamics are equal and identical are therefore also the results. Basing on what criteria it can be argued that the installation and presentation of the expert are better than the one of the novice? Change the fishing experience and the choice of the fly, naturally, because between the novice and the expert there is an abyss. It varies the motion of the tail in the air, because one is fluid and the other clumsy. But it's all, and could not be otherwise. It would be this the praised pose and presentation for which would take years of practice? It would consist in it that ability to cast of which so many fishermen are proud? This would be the source of many catches as was thought at the time but also now ?
-What is, so, the role that skill plays in the traditional launch? As how stand it out? What to do to give the fruits that years and years of experience would have. Unfortunately, these techniques do not give space to the ability, to imagination and, I dare say, not even to intelligence. There are fishermen able to guess on how a trout moves or on the chosen place of hunting, the type of presentation best suited to attack it. Unfortunately these good fishermen are forced to attack all these fish in the same way. Or to give up too many opportunities because their technique does not offer the appropriate tools. There are others who handle a rod with experience, but their ability is mortified by their technique. The launch is not a primitive instrument that emits a unique sound (the only trajectory parallel or slightly more), but an orchestra of a thousand shades. A reed is not a bottom of glass with flubby luminescences. Is a diamond. Explodes gloss. Emanates subtle iridescence. Unfortunately these good pitchers are forced to use it as monotone. Too bad that these brave fishermen and casters, each for their part, saw their own ability compromised, sometimes even humiliated, from their own casting technique.
-There is no doubt that you can fish equally well by throwing in the traditional way. If you are satisfied, so it's good enough. As it is evident that there are waters that require little casts. Even a few presentations. Hence, for certain, for those who cultivate mediocrity, the partial importance of the cast. But how many lost opportunities! How many satisfactions thrown to the wind! How much lost beauty! It's a pity! It's a pity to cultivate only the soft and repetitive stretching of the tail moved forward and backward. Precluding new emotions, ban the endless horizons of the new. There is no worst humiliation of finding ourselves old and discover that we have just repeat the same gestures. And is said that fly fishing is an art. But what art can you find in this repetition. Art is creativity. Fantasy. All things that have nothing to do with a tail and a final that is deposited always in the same way, of a fly that lays in water, and always from the same height in the same way. This is not art but rather a bleak, boring, even bureaucratic work for employees.
-On the contrary TLT enhances ability. At the same time, in its ruthless objectivity, is merciless to mediocrity. And never mediocrity is so in a such palpably way and, at the same time, never the ability can be admired in all its dazzling beauty, as it happens with this technique. The TLT currently does not know the life in which become melancholy sad. It doesn't exist a day in which past and present come together because they represent the same gesture repeated endlessly: all so equal, and all equally melancholy. For the skill that is expressed with tails projected at high speed there are no targets nor limits, but rather an unbroken series of peaks, each one more difficult than the other, and many others to discover and conquer. At the same time, minds and souls of those who are not satisfied, no longer bogged down in soft tedious and parallel projections, can finally ride the endless prairies of fantasy, the exciting emotions endless adventure.
